Direct To Garment

D.T.G

DTG is the latest technology in fabric printing which prints any image directly onto a garment or fabric without needing any set up, screens, mesh, positive films and /or anything else that is required for screen printing.

The ECO friendly water based ink is printed directly onto fabric which results in exceptional “soft feel” print as well as offering more flexibility than screen-printing in terms of color variation, turn-around time (especially for smaller orders). The higher the quality of your image / design means the better the outcome..

Beware that there are many ordinary paper printers modified to print on fabric but only the printers that are made for garment printing would produce quality prints and just like any other equipment in the market, there are low quality and high quality equipments and we have chosen the best in the industry to guarantee your satisfaction.

DTG Garments:
printers are made to print on 100% cotton fabric. The more mix in your fabric, the more fade out / washed out look you will get . Although some people like this outcome, they say it is a nostalgic look. We print on any fabric other (Tri-Blend, 50/50, Burnout, ...) other than 100% polyester such as sport jerseys.

DTG files:
Files have to be
* CMYK
* 200 DPI or higher resolution
* To the size that you want them to be printed
* Transparent background. (Especially for color shirts)

Images of the flag show the number of screens needed to print the flag ( a 3 color image) on a white garment or dark garment.
Any light color ink on a dark color fabric would require a white under base or as it's called  "Flash Print". It is like painting a black wall in to red or any light color paint. First you have to apply a white primer (under base), you will need to give it some time for the under layer to dry and then apply the red (or any light color paint) on top of it.
When printing on a white shirt, we only need two screens, Red and Blue. But we would need 4 screens: White under layer, Red, Blue and white over layer when printing on any dark color garment. As you see color of the fabric as well and what the fabric is made of will affect the print pricing.
At Candroy we only use high quality ink as well as automatic presses to enhance the quality of the print.
